In South Australia, roughly 80 kilometres inland from the Great Southern Ocean, the prehistoric landscape of Coonawarra cuts a burnt-red track through flat, fertile fields. This is the home of the famed Terra Rossa, a 27-kilometre-long ridge of limestone swathed in the rich maroon soil prized for its unrivalled grape-growing prowess. From this mineral-packed foundation, named in the Italian fashion for ‘red earth’, comes some of the most sought-after Cabernet Sauvignon on the planet, captured here in Reschke’s powerfully structured, beautifully aged Bos. Dubbed after the Latin word for ‘bull’ in a nod to Reschke’s cattle-grazing legacy, Bos comprises hand-selected fruit from low-yielding vineyards and deftly illustrates the unmatched sophistication and astonishing complexity of Coonawarra Cabernet.

Quality and pedigree in Coonawarra
The Reschke pedigree begins with a bull and stretches back to 1906, when the first generation of the family to settle in Coonawarra established a cattle grazing operation on a piece of land that now hosts 400 acres of vineyard dominated by the region’s claim to fame: Cabernet Sauvignon.
In the late ‘90s, Reschke became a household name of its own with the launch of the legendary Empyrean — and today, amidst the Bordeaux-reminiscent climate of one of Australia’s southernmost wine regions, they practice cutting-edge viticulture in order to craft their world-class vino, each of which pays homage to the brand’s bullish heritage with a graceful illustration on the label.
