An Australian icon with roots in Bordeaux
Parker’s story begins with the marriage of two of the world’s most illustrious Cabernet producing wine regions: the legendary banks of Bordeaux and the famed Terra Rossa soil of Coonawarra. In 1985, John and Faye Parker broke ground on their Coonawarra plot with a crop of Reynella Selection Cabernet Sauvignon — original cuttings from Bordeaux, taken before phylloxera carved a swath of ruin through the region in the Great French Wine Blight of the 1800s.
