Leeuwin Estate’s Art Series sits at the epitome of prestige. Representative of the esteemed Margaret River producer’s most luxuriant and age-worthy wines, the Art Series pairs vinous masterpieces — which have won top honours and titles from the world’s foremost wine authorities — with paintings specially commissioned from Australia’s most respected contemporary artists. Featuring Western Australian painter Kim Maple’s vividly hued “Influence” on the label, the poised and pure Art Series Chardonnay (one of Langton’s ‘Heritage Five’ Australian wine icons and 99-point Halliday Wine Companion awardee) stands easily alongside the world’s most sought-after Burgundies and is, like the piece emblazoned upon it, a timeless work of art.
This achieves another step up the quality ladder for Leeuwin Estate, seemingly impossible. There's been no change in the vinification, nor in the vineyard. The change is an increase in the intensity of the flavours, and hence their length and aftertaste. It's an extraordinary wine, among the greatest of Burgundy (and elsewhere in the world). Whatever you expect from its future development will be delivered.

A benchmark New World Chardonnay that can be tucked away for a decade or more. Poised and lengthy, with swirls of bright lemon, Tahitian lime, and heady frangipani, complemented by graphitic complexity and gentle hints of cinnamon and cashew
Leeuwin’s connection to the arts runs deep. Honoured by their ‘Art Series’ wines, it’s also on proud display in the on-site Leeuwin Art Gallery, which hosts a distinguished collection of over 150 pieces from esteemed artists including Arthur Boyd and Sir Sidney Nolan.

A bonafide Australian legend
Deep in the isolated reaches of Western Australia’s Margaret River lies a legend: the family-owned Leeuwin Estate, one of the five founding wineries of the world-famous region. Originally a cattle farm, Leeuwin has its wine roots in iconic Napa Valley winemaker Robert Mondavi, who in 1972 recognised the site’s potential and guided founders Denis and Tricia Horgan in transforming it into a globally acclaimed vineyard. In the decades since, Leeuwin has amassed a legion of awards from the most prestigious wine authorities.
